Petie's Story
Petie: A vocal and affectionate Siamese going with the flow

Petie's story: My previous owner, a little old lady who knew she could not care for me anymore, brought me into the vet looking for help. They spoke to her regarding her concerns, and this lady agreed to surrender me to the hospital.

I hung out there for a week in the office with the Practice Manager that was pretty cool and gave me attention, which I appreciated.

I was having over grooming issues on my belly, maybe due to stress, but I was not giving up any info. I have improved in just the first week, and now at the Foster I decided bare chest is not my thing, so I am good with stopping that bad habit.

For the record, I had a pretty crazy dynamics change in the household: I lost my human. He unfortunately beat me to the rainbow bridge, and his wife, this little old lady didn't care for me much, or maybe it was just too much, but she brought me to the vets to join her hubby, but the vet had another suggestion, and I am not in a poshy room with a bed I can sack out in all day next to my foster human that gives me these Friskies Meow Mix treats, which I must say are delish!

During my week stay at the vets, there were dogs. I didn't mind them. They were fine. I didn't it interact with them much, but I had my own space and could see them, and they saw me, and it was all good. So if my new home has dogs, that may be okay.

Admittedly, I can be very affectionate and vocal! But I am not a middle of the night meower. I enjoy my sleep.

I am a head rubber. I enjoy rubbing up against stuff and headbutting furniture. They don't headbutt back, but it is nice to get my human's attention to clue in that I need some love time. If that doesn't work... My vocal chords shall take queue.

My ideal home would be with a human or humans that enjoys a cat by their side, and I can have an occasional conversation with. Treats, love and pats are also a plus! There was this other cat at the vet that got to roam free. I really didn't care for him much, but it was a stressful time for me there, so I may tolerate another kitty in my new space.

Fitchburg Friends of Felines facilitates a foster to adopt program that places the intended adoptee with the potential adoptive family.
