Safe Place for Pets's Adoption Policy
We are a 99% volunteer organization, and our dogs and some cats are cared for in foster homes. We have a Welcome Center where we are able to care for the cats who are not in foster homes. We always need great foster parents and volunteers willing to spend a couple of hours to help with the care of the cats at our Cattery located inside the Welcome Center.  Please check out our available pets and contact us to let us know which one(s) interest you. We'll arrange a site visit to your home and a meet-and-greet with your prospective pet once we have had a phone chat to determine if our rescue pet is a good fit for you and you for him/her. If you and the pet decide it's true love, we'll have you fill out an adoption contract and ask for an adoption donation (rather than a fee) of $100 per cat and $200 per dog. A certificate of adoption is mailed to you once the process is complete. If you would like to meet one of the lovable pets on our Available Pets list, please contact us at (719) 359-0201 or info@safeplacepets.org to arrange a visit. Thanks!
