Sometimes the most beautiful things come in the most unexpected packages! Take our lovely, sweet PERLA for example. This winning lady has a short-haired jet-black coat. Our vet staff estimates PERLA to be approximately between the ages of five to seven years old.<br/><br/>PERLA came to our cat center after a call came in that this kitty was in dire need of help. Sadly, the person who found PERLA believes this poor gal was abandoned and left behind. PERLA settled in fairly quickly to her new settings within the shelter environment. PERLA was an immediate favorite of all the volunteers. She is an exceptionally affectionate, warm and loving girl. PERLA melts when the volunteers give her love and attention. PERLA loves gentle chin and head scritches and enjoys being pet. PERLA had already been spayed upon arrival, so we assume she may have lived in a home at some point in her past. After being seen by our skilled vet staff, they determined that PERLA would need to be on a special diet of urinary dry and wet cat food to keep her safe, happy and healthy. PERLA is very endearing. She is a bit overweight and has a squinty eye. We adore her gentle personality, quiet/calm character and sweet nature. From what we have observed so far, we feel PERLA may not be fond of other cats, and she may need to be the queen of the castle and soak up all the love to herself.
