Perihelion and Miki's Story

Please read through the entire posting and requirements before applying via our questionnaire at alleycatproject.org/adopt
Please do not submit an inquiry via Petfinder.

Meet Perihelion and Miki, a bonded pair of kitten siblings! They are approximately 3 months old.

Both kittens have long, fuzzy fur that gives them that freshly electrocuted look. Especially Perihelion (Peri). They have black smoke (black with a white undercoat) fur, or fever coats. These kittens were born outside to a feral mom, who was very ill when we took them in. She recovered quickly, but her stressful pregnancy left a mark in the undercoats of some of her offspring. This will likely grow out into gorgeous black fur as they mature.

Peri is male and Miki is female. Genders aside, the only way we can tell them apart is by their temperaments. Peri usually just has a few more energy points than Miki (OK, maybe a lot more!). If slowing down sounds like a horror story, these are the kittens for you!

Peri is exceptionally energetic. If kittens went to school, Peri would be the first one to recess and the last one in. He is equally into sitting in laps and purring readily. Right now, Miki has too many siblings for all of them to fit in one lap, so she usually sits and purrs right next to the lap instead.

A few weeks ago, we introduced the litter to a feather on a string, which Miki immediately pounced on. To this day, feather toys are the only things Miki does not share. They belong to her! And she will try to growl without letting go of the feather in her mouth, just in case anyone wasnt sure of the toys rightful owner.

Like many young kittens, they both experienced an upper respiratory infection when they were taken into foster care and received veterinary treatment. Even though they are doing well, they may occasionally show symptoms such as sneezing, watery eyes, or mild congestion in the future.

These kittens are exceptionally well-socialized, affectionate, and confident. They enjoy human interaction, seek out attention, are comfortable being handled, and adapt well to new people and environments.

Together, they make a high energy, fun, and affectionate pair.

What Perihelion and Miki are looking for in a home:

- They want to stay together forever and must be adopted as a pair.
- They have lots of kitten energy and will benefit from plenty of active play time.
- They need to live indoors only.
- They have a positive history with other cats and may like having a feline friend close to their age.
- They have no known history with children.

All Alley Cat Projects cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption.

Alley Cat Project adoption fees are:

- $200 per cat or kitten
- $350 for pair of cats or kittens
- $50 for senior cat (over 8 years old)
- Flexible reduced fees for a cat with a chronic medical condition that requires ongoing care
- Additional charitable donations are appreciated and support our overall rescue efforts

Thank you for your interest in Perhelion and Miki! If your household fits the above criteria, you can apply to adopt them by filling out this questionnaire: alleycatproject.org/adopt

Only applicants who complete the questionnaire will be considered. Please do not submit an inquiry through Petfinder, as it will not replace the questionnaire and we will not respond. Many of our cats receive numerous applications, and we thank you for your patience while we review applications and find the best match.
