Percy's Story

Meet Percy! Percy is a former stray who came to Fishtails after he was found at ACCT with a few dental problems needing attention. Luckily, our awesome foster Angelina opened her home to him so he could get the care he needed from Fishtails' vet team. Now Percy is healed up, enjoying indoor life, and ready to meet his forever family! From his foster: "Percy is a love bug. He talks to me every time I walk into the room and runs to me to get pets. He purrs a lot and loves good head pets and scratches. He also just love staying by my side if I sit on the bed and mind my own business. He loves playing with teasing toys and sleeping with me on my bed. Sometimes he steals my pillow and I wake up with him sleeping next to my head! Percy likes to explore and spend time with two of our cats. He’s a chill guy, if other cats aren’t interested in him, he doesn’t care and minds his own business. But he would love to be friends and play with them! He loves playing and loves attention. He’s also very talkative!" As mentioned, Percy has been doing well interacting with the resident cats at his foster home. He is a sweet, playful guy who is past his rough days on the street and ready for a lifetime of snuggles and warmth in his new home! DOB - 04/09/2018 Ready to make Percy part of your family forever? Fishtails Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy

Fishtails Animal Rescue strives to provide you with a healthy pet. However, the stress of changing environments can lower an animal’s immunity to fight disease and the pet could harbor an infection without displaying symptoms. We cannot guarantee the health of any animal. Any pet adopted out by Fishtails Animal Rescue will be up-to-date on vaccines (unless medically contraindicated), microchipped, spayed/neutered (if age appropriate*), and given a dose of flea/heartworm preventative. The microchip must be registered by the adopter to their new information. *If the animal is not spayed/neutered at time of adoption, the adopter will do so within 2 months after the animal reaches 6 months of age. In addition, if pet is under 16 weeks at the time of adoption, adopter is responsible for boosters for vaccines. Fishtails Animal Rescues is located in Philadelphia, PA and accepts applications within the tri-state area. The first step in our adoption process is to complete the adoption application found on our website. Applications are reviewed within 72 hours of submissions.
