Despite everything he has been through, he has held onto the sweetest, most trusting nature.<br/><br/>Now safe and warm in foster care, Percy is truly thriving. He is currently being fostered with Gord (the orange tabby), and the two share a very special bond. They spend a great deal of time together and clearly bring comfort to one another. Because of this, we would truly love for Percy and Gord to find a forever home together.<br/><br/>Percy is a very friendly and sociable boy who thrives on touch and gentle reassurance. He bonds closely with his people and will happily follow you from room to room, never more than just a few steps behind. (Fair warning — he can be a bit of a tripping hazard because he simply loves being near you!)<br/><br/>He has a lovely, gentle temperament and would fit in well with a family. He enjoys children and is happiest in a home where he receives plenty of affection and companionship.<br/><br/>He’s not overly focused on toys, but he does have a soft spot for chasing a rolling ball around the house — simple pleasures make him happy.<br/><br/>🩺 Health Information<br/><br/>Percy is:<br/><br/>✔️ Neutered<br/>✔️ Microchipped<br/>✔️ Vaccinated (received his first FVRCP vaccine and rabies vaccine)<br/>✔️ Dewormed (one round so far)<br/><br/>Percy’s health record also notes: Dental – Grade 2 dental disease.<br/><br/>This typically means there is moderate tartar buildup and early gum inflammation (gingivitis). At this stage, it does not automatically mean extractions or major dental surgery. It simply indicates that his teeth should be monitored and may benefit from a professional dental cleaning to prevent progression.<br/><br/>Percy and Gord are scheduled for their booster vaccines (FVRCP) and dewormer on Tuesday, March 10, and we will have the vet carefully examine Percy’s teeth again at that appointment to determine whether a dental cleaning is recommended.<br/><br/>We believe in full transparency, so adopters understand exactly where things stand medically.<br/><br/>After surviving abandonment in the coldest part of winter, Percy is more than ready for a forever home — ideally alongside his best friend, Gord — where he will never be left behind again.<br/><br/>---<br/><br/>Percy 🤍<br/><br/>Âge : 2 ans<br/>Date de naissance estimée : 3 février 2024 (estimée par notre équipe vétérinaire)<br/><br/>Percy fait partie des 22 chats qui ont été cruellement abandonnés en plein cœur de l’hiver dernier, au mois de janvier. Malgré tout ce qu’il a traversé, il a conservé une nature incroyablement douce et confiante.<br/><br/>Aujourd’hui en sécurité et au chaud en famille d’accueil, Percy s’épanouit pleinement. Il est présentement en accueil avec Gord (le beau tabby roux), et les deux semblent très attachés l’un à l’autre. Ils passent beaucoup de temps ensemble et se procurent un réel réconfort mutuel. Pour cette raison, nous aimerions énormément que Percy et Gord soient adoptés ensemble.<br/><br/>Percy est un garçon très affectueux et sociable qui a besoin de contact et de douceur. Il crée un lien fort avec ses humains et vous suivra d’une pièce à l’autre, toujours à quelques pas derrière vous. (Petit avertissement — il peut parfois devenir un léger risque de trébuchage, simplement parce qu’il adore être près de nous!)<br/><br/>Il a un tempérament doux et équilibré et conviendrait très bien à une famille. Il aime les enfants et serait le plus heureux dans un foyer où il recevra beaucoup d’attention et de présence.<br/><br/>Il n’est pas particulièrement obsédé par les jouets, mais il adore courir après une petite balle qui roule dans la maison — les plaisirs simples lui suffisent.<br/><br/>🩺 Informations médicales<br/><br/>Percy est :<br/><br/>✔️ Stérilisé (castré)<br/>✔️ Micropucé<br/>✔️ Vacciné (première dose FVRCP et vaccin contre la rage)<br/>✔️ Vermifugé (une dose jusqu’à présent)<br/><br/>Son dossier médical indique également : Dentition – Maladie dentaire grade 2.<br/><br/>Cela signifie généralement une accumulation modérée de tartre ainsi qu’une légère inflammation des gencives (gingivite). À ce stade, cela ne signifie pas automatiquement des extractions ou une chirurgie majeure, mais plutôt qu’un nettoyage dentaire pourrait éventuellement être recommandé afin d’éviter que la condition progresse.<br/><br/>Percy et Gord ont un rendez-vous le mardi 10 mars pour leurs vaccins de rappel (FVRCP) et vermifuge, et nous demanderons au vétérinaire de réévaluer attentivement les dents de Percy lors de cette visite afin de déterminer si un nettoyage dentaire est recommandé.<br/><br/>Nous croyons en la transparence complète afin que les adoptants sachent exactement où en est sa santé.<br/><br/>Après avoir survécu à un abandon en plein hiver, Percy mérite maintenant un foyer aimant — idéalement aux côtés de son cher Gord — où il ne sera plus jamais laissé derrière. 🤍
