Pepper came to PAWS with 6 “pepper kittens”. She was a great mom & is super sweet. Many of her kittens have found homes & now it’s her turn.<br/><br/>Sadly black cats get overlooked in shelters & we hope she finds a loving home before the new year. Her adoption fee is sponsored.

Our Mission

PAWS is a volunteer managed, city shelter, that has been operating since 2000. We have a contract with the city of Charles City that our animals come in through the Charles City Police Department as strays, and if not claimed after 7 days, animals are fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and put up fo...
