Pepper is looking for a patient, devoted forever home where she can finally settle and let her funny and curious personality shine. Pepper is such a sweet girl who has been through a lot, so she needs someone who can show her what consistent, stable love and patience look like. If you are that person, Pepper will reward you endlessly with her hilarious and sweet personality. Pepper is so entertaining and quirky, she's interested in and curious about everything, and loves her people deeply. You will always find her in the same room as you, keeping an eye on things, or exploring a new shelf or drawer she hasn't inspected yet. She makes us laugh every day, whether it be because of her raspy meow or looking over and seeing her asleep with her tongue sticking out.<br/><br/>Several times a day, she'll hop up, plop down on you, give little licks, and settle in for snuggles entirely on her own terms, and those moments feel genuinely earned. Pepper usually likes to be the initiator of cuddles and thrives with people who respect her boundaries (although this seems better when her pain is managed). Still, she'd probably be happiest in a home with adults or older teens who appreciate her personality and can give her the space to show her sweet side on her own terms.<br/><br/>She does have some medical needs, so she needs someone who is patient with her care routine and committed to her monthly vet visits. Pepper has osteoarthritis managed with a monthly vet injection that she will likely need for life. Her funny eyes, which make her face so adorable, are due to partially underdeveloped eyelids, so she will also require a daily eye ointment for life to protect her corneas. She may be a little wiggly for her meds, BUT she is very forgiving afterwards and doesn't hold a grudge! She also has a dental condition that will need follow-up care, and a daily antihistamine for allergies. <br/><br/>If you want a little gray shadow who will be immensely grateful for the care and patience you can give her and will show you that she's worth it every day, little Pepper is your girl. <br/><br/>------------------------------------<br/><br/>This cat is currently located in a PAWS foster home.
