Pepper's Story

Hi! My name is Pepper, and if you're looking for a kitten with a BIG personality packed into a tiny body, then I think we need to meet.

I arrived at Faithful Friends when I was only 4 weeks olda scrungly little baby who wasn't feeling my best. Fast forward to today, and I'm now 8 weeks old, healthy, happy, and officially ready to find my forever family!

The humans here say I'm one of the friendliest kittens they've ever met. I have never met a stranger, and I fully believe that every person I see is just a new friend waiting to pet me. I'm playful, curious, fearless, and always looking for my next adventure. My favorite hobby? Climbing onto people's shoulders and riding around like a tiny parrot while I supervise everything happening around me. It's a very important job.

I also have something called eyelid agenesis, which means I was born with underdeveloped upper eyelids. It's a congenital condition that can sometimes cause eye irritation. Right now, it doesn't slow me down one bitI run, play, climb, cuddle, and cause kitten chaos just like any other baby. As I grow, I may need surgery or lifelong eye-drop maintenance to keep my eyes comfortable. The sanctuary is committed to working closely with my future family and will remain available as a resource to help make sure I receive the care I need throughout my life.

Because of my condition, my veterinarian recommends waiting until I'm about 8 months old to be spayed. The hope is that my hormones will help support my development and may even benefit my eye condition. Don't worrythe sanctuary will schedule and pay for my spay surgery when the time comes, and it's already included in my adoption fee.

Since I'm a special little lady, I'm looking for a home with a tenured cat owner. Experience with special-needs cats is a huge plus! I'd also really love to have another friendly cat in the home because I have tons of energy and would love a feline buddy to wrestle, chase, and play with.

The staff and volunteers here are completely obsessed with me (and honestly, I understand why). They tell everyone I'm the cutest, sweetest, spunkiest girl around, and that whoever adopts me is going to be incredibly lucky.

So, if you're looking for a shoulder-riding sidekick, a professional toy chaser, a champion cuddler, and a kitten who will fill your home with laughter, I might just be your perfect match.

Pepper is dewormed, up-to-date on kitten vaccinations, and combo tested negative. The adoption fee is $125 and will cover her spay when she is old enough.

**Important**

The first step in the adoption process is to submit an adoption application, which can be located and submitted online, on our website: www.faithfulfriendsnc.org/adopt

Once your completed-in-full application has been submitted, the humans will review it. If the humans have questions or want to set up an appointment for you to meet one of us, they will contact you. Please read all guidelines before sending in an application. Do not reach out to the sanctuary about the status of your application, we will contact you if we are interested in setting up an appointment.
