Pennywise's Story
Pennywise is looking for a forever home, and we promise the only thing scary about this guy is how quickly he’ll convince you to buy out the entire cat toy aisle.

When Pennywise first came to us, he was a sad little boy hiding in a storm drain, unsure of people and definitely unaware that his future included fluffy beds, endless Churus, and a pretty girlfriend named Vesper to impress. These days, he’s traded storm-drain dwelling for foster-home shenanigans and has blossomed into one seriously silly floof.

Pennywise takes a little time to decide that you’re worthy of joining his inner circle, but once you’re in, PLAYTIME IS ON. Wand toys? Obsessed. Kicker toys? Incredible. Random toy you forgot existed under the couch? Best day of his life. Pennywise has genuinely never met a toy he didn’t like, and sometimes he gets so enthusiastic that he throws in a little love bite for good measure. He can also get mouthy when he’s overstimulated, so his future humans should be comfortable reading his cues and letting him decompress when the party gets a little too exciting.

While Pennywise is making great strides with his human relationships, he has some boundaries. Being picked up is currently a hard pass, and laps remain suspicious territory. We think both could change as he continues building confidence, but Pennywise isn’t looking for someone who needs an instant snuggle bug. He’s looking for someone patient enough to let him become brave on his own schedule.

One thing that is absolutely non-negotiable is FRIENDSHIP. Pennywise needs to go home with another friendly cat. Having a feline buddy helps him feel confident, gives him an appropriate partner for his many important games, and, if his current relationship with Vesper is any indication, gives him someone to shamelessly show off for. His feelings about dogs are still TBD.

The quickest route to Pennywise’s heart involves Churu or basically any lickable treat, plenty of toys, a friendly feline sidekick, and the patience to let him settle in at his own pace. He’ll likely need an adjustment period in a new home, but we already know what can happen when someone gives this former storm-drain boy the time and safety he needs.

Sad sewer clown to silly little heartthrob is quite the character arc. Now Pennywise just needs his happily ever after.

---

Submit an Adoption Application to be considered:
https://www.tailshigh.org/home/adoption-application/

Completing the application does not guarantee it will be approved.
