PENNY. Needs special home due to abuse

PENNY is a 2 year old female Maine Coon mix tabby who cane in covered in burrs and tangled sticks. She was severely matted and had to be shaved. She is sweet and totally nonaggressive, but very cautious of new environments. She was severely abused in her neighborhood. A neighbor said she would watch her go door to door trying to get into people's houses and everyone would chase her and throw things so she would not come back to their door. Eventually, she just shut down and hid. When her foster first tried to pet her, she would cower and scrunch down to try to become invisible. She is now learning to accept affection, and she is learning that human hands are for petting and caring and NOT for cruelty. She does not seem to be bothered with her foster mom’s cats and dogs. She is spayed, tested, up to date on shots, and littertrained. She really and truly needs all your love to make up for the horrors she has been through. Please give this sweet girl a chance to blossom and live the loving life she deserves.
