Penny's Story
Penny... one eye, but a whole lot of love!
Est. DOB 4/2026
Adoption fee: $250

This beautiful little tuxedo girl was trapped alongside her feral mama and littermates as part of a TNR effort. Sadly, Penny had a severely ruptured eye that could not be saved and needed to be removed. With nowhere for her to go after her spay and eye removal surgeries, Penny was going to have to be released back outside.

Thankfully, a foster stepped up at the very last minute, giving this little girl a safe place to recover and a chance at the indoor life she deserves!

Penny is approximately 4 months old and has been in foster care for about three weeks. She is a gorgeous black and white tuxedo with the softest coat and the sweetest little personality. She is the perfect mix of mellow, playful, silly, and sweet!

Having one eye hasn't slowed her down! Penny loves wand toys, tossing around little mice, and anything with a fun pop of color. Once shes had a good play session, shes ready to curl up close to her foster mama for pets, snuggles, and lots of purrs. She can be shy at first, but once she feels comfortable, her sweet and chatty personality comes out!

Penny is eager to make friends and would love a friendly, confident cat companion to play with and help show her that the world isnt so scary. She has also had some exposure to a large, cat-savvy dog and, while cautious, is not fearful. With slow introductions, she would likely adjust well to a mellow dog.

Penny is still building her confidence and would thrive in a quieter home that will give her the time and patience she needs to settle in. She becomes braver every day and is ready for a family who will give her all the love and snuggles she deserves!

Penny must be adopted with another cat or into a home with a friendly resident cat, as cats are highly social animals that thrive with companionship. Having a feline friend provides comfort, enrichment, and healthy social development.

If you're interested in adopting Penny, please submit an adoption application at https://www.husshaven.org/adoptable-pets.

The adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, microchip, FVRCP vaccines, rabies vaccine for cats 6 months and older, FeLV testing for cats under 6 months, FeLV+FIV testing for cats 6 months and older, and treatment for fleas, worms, and other common parasites.
