Penny's Story

Dani and Penny are a beautiful, cuddly bonded pair who will bring tons of love to their new home. They love to spend the day lounging and cuddling together in a nice cozy space, watching the birds and squirrels, and following each other around to see what the other is up to.

Dani, a 10-year-old torbie, is more outgoing, vocal, and playful, and she loves back scritches and playing with toys on a string and felt mice. Penny is a lovely tortie who's more shy, but when you earn her trust she's a cuddle bug, nuzzling up during TV time, and asking for head and bum pats frequently. (See the video for her asking kindly for some more pets.)

They may have been free fed in their prior home. As a result, they're both carrying extra weight and could use careful food management. They would be best suited for a quieter home, with either no children, or older children with experience with skittish cats. These two are just an adorable pile of cuddles and will make their new family smile every day.

They would be best adopted together because of how closely bonded they are.

The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Some pets qualify for FREE or reduced adoption fees, please inquire with our Animal Care team to learn more.

Pets are complex beings and prior to adoption, interested adopters will be counseled by a staff member to discuss the specific needs for each animal. This will include reviewing all known medical and behavior information.

** Please note that some animals will receive numerous inquiries, sometimes more than we can process.
