Penguin's Story

Meet Penguin! Holy whiskers, Batman! This handsome boy is Penguin, a black and white tuxedo kitten who looks like he's ready to patrol Gotham thanks to the adorable black mask across his face! Penguin arrived at ARF in mid-June after being surrendered along with his siblings, Zebra, Puffin and Panda. These four kittens came to ARF together and now Penguin is hoping his next adventure will take him to a loving forever home. Penguin is described as a little timid, so he may need some time to feel comfortable in a new environment. A patient adopter who gives him a little space, gentle encouragement and plenty of time to build confidence will be the perfect match for this masked little guy. Penguin does not have to be adopted with his siblings. Zebra, Puffin and Panda can find homes individually. However, because they arrived at ARF together, we always like to let adopters know about their littermate connection in case someone is interested in keeping some of the siblings together in a forever home. With his adorable tuxedo markings, unmistakable Batman mask and sweet, but timid personality, Penguin is one little superhero who doesn't need a Batcave. He just needs a loving home and someone willing to let him come out of his shell at his own pace. Could you be Penguin's hero? The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times. Adopting an animal is an important decision that will affect you, your household, and the animal for many years to come. Our primary goal is to place animals in a loving and forever home. We strive for the best possible match between you and your new pet. If you do not find the right animal on your first visit to our shelter, please return another day when new animals will be available for adoption. We include as much information as we know about an animal on their information card. We are here to help make a wonderful new addition to your family. Adoption Requirements • Must be 18 years of age or older (seniors 65 and over qualify for the Seniors for Seniors program) • Must have valid ID with current address • Must provide landlord’s name and phone number (or copy of current lease) • All members of the household should be present • You must understand that Berea Animal Rescue must approve your adoption application If this is your first visit, please follow this link, bit.ly/ARFWaiver, to provide us with your household’s information and sign our Animal Contact Waiver. Fees The shelter accepts cash or Mastercard, Visa, or Discover. *If paying in cash, please understand that volunteers are unable to make change.
