Penelope was found roaming an industrial area in the winter, she led her rescuer right to her two kittens.
She was happy to be safe and indoors, and enjoyed the company of the female cats in that home but her rescuer now had 6 cats and decided it was best to surrender Penelope and her kittens to Abbey cats so they could get the care and attention they deserve.

She is currently at her foster home with a couple of adults, she settled in immediately and shows a lot of trust in humans.

Penelope absolutely loves her wet food.
She is not demanding for food or attention but thrilled when she gets it, she will greet you with a meow when you approach her and eager rub her head against her hand.

She shows some interest in playing and this side should come out a bit more once she believes she is finally done with being a mother, safe and settled.
Penelope is so grateful for the little things and seeing her content brings a lot of joy to her foster parents.

Penelope is so grateful for the little things and seeing her content brings a lot of joy to her foster parents.

Penelope would love a not too chaotic home where she can get gentle affection from her humans or other calm cats.
She previously got along well with female cats but has tired of kitten energy so it may be best if she has companions that are a bit older.

She loves to have a soft place to sleep like a pillow on the couch or soft blanket and is content to be a quiet presence watching you go about your day.

Abbey Cat Adoptions's Adoption Policy
**Kitten Policy** Please note: Kittens require the companionship of other kittens and the younger the kitten the more this is so. It is a developmental need. If you do not have animals at home and you only want one cat please look at kittens 6 months or older. By this time in their life we know which cats need the companionship of other animals and which ones would prefer to live without other animals. We provide an adoption service and want to match the right cat with the right home. It is against Abbey Cat policy to adopt a single kitten under the age of 6 months to a home without other young cats/kittens for company. Please bear this in mind when calling to adopt. *** Due to an unprecedented demand (especially for kittens) we regret that we are unable to respond by phone to all of the applications we are currently receiving. We are only able at this time to phone those applicants who have sent in an online adoption application, can provide a vet reference and their criteria matches what the particular cat or kittens' needs are. We regret any inconvenience caused as we do our best to meet the overwhelming demand we are currently experiencing*****
