Peewee's Story

PEEWEE is a male-neutered short hair brown tabby cat, born about January 2022. He was rescued as a stray early 2023 because he was being attacked by other strays, & has been an indoor only cat since. His owner very reluctantly relinquished Peewee to YAPS mid-April 2026, because she has a senior cat who refuses to accept or get along with him (hisses and strikes out at him whenever he comes near). Per Peewee's prior owner: "He's very friendly & sweet - loves to snuggle & sleep on our laps while watching TV. He very much wants to be part of our family & be near people. He likes to play, but doesn't like loud noises." We find him to be very gentle, calm, & submissive. He's very stressed over the loss of his long-term home & move to YAPS, so he usually doesn't come to you for affection. But, he really likes being petted. He likes being held in your lap/arms, but currently not for long periods. He gets along with other cats.

Yucaipa Animal Placement Society's Adoption Policy
The adoption fee includes spay or neuter surgery, vaccines and a microchip for dogs and cats. We do a thorough assessment of the animal’s temperament and needs so that we can find both them and you the companion of a lifetime. Our goal is to adopt out pets into permanent, loving homes. The YAPS Team is here to help you choose a pet that will fit in with your lifestyle and bring harmony to your home. YAPS does not currently offer transport for adopters outside of our surrounding area. Adopters must adopt a pet in person at our facility or adoption events.
