Peeky & Boo's Story

On June 7, 2026, panther Boo and three newborn siblings were brought to us by a Highway Patrol officer. The kittens were nestled in a car engine compartment, and all had minor burns on their feet and tails. Unfortunately, two siblings did not survive. The two surviving kittens healed quickly, but both lost some of their tail, which made them that much cuter. As far as personalities go, Boo never overthinks anything. She has all the joy and confidence you can pack into a two-pound kitten. Her favorite place is wherever Peeky is.

Gray tabby Peeky came to our rescue on August 2, 2026, from the Lancaster SPCA. She had a ruptured eye more than likely caused by a localized virus. About a week later, while she was under anesthesia to have her eye removed, they went ahead and spayed her. Fortunately or unfortunately, we have a lot of experience with rescue kittens needing eye surgery or needing to have an eye removed. Remarkably, cats with one eye adjust well and seem to have no issues with depth perception. Peeky has a sweet disposition and is a natural snuggler. Her favorite place is a lap.

Peeky and Boo are about the same age, so we will call their birthday June 6, 2026. Although they are not biological siblings, as far as they are concerned they are littermates and sisters. Since whether playing or sleeping, they are always together, our preference is that they be adopted as a pair, the benefit being you know you are getting bonded playmates.

Both kittens are healthy, playful, and well socialized to older cats, adults, and children. They are weaned, litter trained, FIV/FeLV negative, and vaccinated. Our adoption fee is $150 for both kittens and covers FIV/FeLV testing, deworming, vaccinations, and spay/neuter with a partner clinic.

To set up a visit, drop me a note at cherylsferalsandfosters@gmail.com or PM me. If you are considering adopting, please fill out and submit the adoption contract found in The Adoption Process link on my website (cherylsferalsandfosters.com). In the meantime, you can follow their journey on Facebook: Cheryl’s Ferals and Fosters. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3).
