Pearl's Story

Pearl was rescued at a young age from a very overcrowded home with her five kittens where they were ignored, abused and very cold. After their rescue, the kittens were adopted after three months of loving care.

Pearl, however, was very scared and withdrawn and I knew it was going to be harder to get her to trust me. I put Pearl in our “Hisses to Kisses” program with our wonderful cat whisperer Janet. In the beginning, Pearl hid lots until she was comfortable enough to venture out but remained nervous about being approached. Utilizing the Tellington TTouch Method, a gentle, specialized, and respectful training approach to improve her behavior, health, and well-being, Janet helped Pearl trust people and allowed Janet to pet her. Slowly, she ventured out more and more and gradually became comfortable with her surroundings.

Now, after 8 months of Foster Care, Pearl gets in the chair with Janet and has accepted and embraced her temporary home. She has also become comfortable enough to follow Janet around meowing for her Temptations Treats.

Pearl now needs a furever home where she will be loved and cared for and allowed to be herself. With time, care and unconditional love, Pearl will definitely become the welcome addition your family has been searching for.

She has been vet checked, spayed & is up to date on vaccinations. Litter box trained. She is good with other cats & dogs, but would be best in a home with no children.

If interested in Pearl please text Carole at (586) 909-7123 or email boydsofafeather@wowway.com. Applications can be downloaded at www.cattailkitties.org. Complete & send to Carole at email above.

Cat Tail Kitties Rescue
Sterling Heights, MI
