Peanut's Story

Sweet, easygoing, and oh-so-lovable, Peanut is a gentle and affectionate little guy who adores spending time with his humans and is happiest when he’s getting plenty of love and attention. He allows being picked up and snuggled closely, and loves curling up on your lap for some quiet, one-on-one time. Show him a feather wand toy or toss a ball, and you’ll see his fun-loving playful side as he happily chases after his favorite toys. Peanut may be a bit shy when first meeting new people and may hide, but if you speak to him with a soft voice and approach him in a gentle manner, he will quickly warm up and show you want a wonderful companion he can be. Peanut was an owner surrender due to his family moving and previously lived with adults and teens as the only pet in the household, and would do best as your one and only. If you’re looking for a gentle and very affectionate companion who just needs a little time to feel comfortable, Peanut is ready to give you a lifetime of cuddles and companionship. You can meet Peanut at our Moiiliili Campus.

Hawaiian Humane Society's Adoption Policy
A photo ID is required at the time of all adoptions. Hawaiian Humane operates on a first come, first served basis, if you complete a questionnaire for a particular pet online, that does not reserve the pet. To best serve you, check in at least 30 minutes before closing to meet with an adoptions representative. Please note that if you wish to conduct a meet-and-greet between your dog and one of our available dogs, due to the high volume of visitors, you may be asked to wait outside our gate with your pet until an adoptions representative is available or reschedule for a different day.
