Peaches's Story
Meet Peaches: A tender, blooming soul who loves animal companions.

Peaches didn’t have an easy start in life. Born on the streets, the world taught her to be cautious, fast, and protective of herself. But over the last three months in foster care, this sweet grey-and-white girl has been learning what it feels like to finally be safe.

Peaches is a work in progress, and watching her blossom every single day is nothing short of magical. While she still has moments where she will scurry or bolt if startled, she recently reached a huge milestone: she now allows her foster mom to pick her up and hold her!

Animal Socialization Superstar:

While Peaches takes time to warm up to new humans, her animal social skills are top-tier! She has lived alongside dogs and cats of every shape and personality—big dogs, small dogs, loud barkers, quiet sleepers, and fellow felines. She takes them all in stride and would do wonderfully in a home that already has a confident, friendly pet to show her the ropes.

What Peaches needs in her forever home:

Patience & Understanding: Peaches operates on "cat time," not human time. She thrives best with an adopter who understands the art of letting a cat come to them on their own terms.

Love from a Distance (at first): When you let her explore at her own pace, her soft, curious side starts to shine. Once she realizes you’re her safe person, the trust you build with her will be unbreakable.

A Furry Friend (Bonus!): While not strictly required, having a steady, friendly cat or dog in the home can actually help build her confidence faster.

Peaches is healthy, growing well (she's officially crossed the 2-pound mark!), and ready to find a compassionate human who sees the beauty in gentle progress.

Status & Adoption Details:

Foster-to-Adopt: Peaches is available through our Foster-to-Adopt program while awaiting alteration.

Adoption Fee: $100 (Covers her entire veterinary care package: spay surgery, microchip, age-appropriate core vaccinations, rabies, deworming, and flea preventative).

How It Works: Foster-to-adopt allows you to welcome Peaches into your home now to bond and decompress. TCSW schedules and covers her complete clinic visit when clinic booking opens. Once her alteration and vaccinations are completed through TCSW, the adoption is officially finalized!

If you have a patient heart, maybe a welcoming resident pet, and room for a little girl who just needs someone to believe in her, Peaches is waiting to meet you.

Rooted in compassion. Growing a movement.

Texoma Center for Sustainable Welfare
