PBJ & Alex Van Tailen

PBJ was found on the street with a peanut butter jar stuck on his head. He had a difficult time adjusting to being in the shelter. We thought being in a room with other cats his age would help him blossom but he kept himself separate - until he met his first and best friend Alex.<br/><br/>PBJ has become a happy, playful boy now that he has a friend. They are bonded and he relies on Alex to feel safe. When Alex was gone for the day to be neutered, PBJ refused to eat anything, not even his favorite treats and he would not play.<br/><br/>He has grown to trust people. Once he is comfortable with you, he enjoys cuddles, often purring up a storm! He loves to play with his stuffed mice and other soft toys. <br/><br/>PBJ is about 6 months old and tested negative for FIV & FeLV and is micro-chipped.<br/><br/>Alex is about 4 months old and tested negative for FIV & FeLV and is micro-chipped.<br/><br/>Our adoption fee ($75 for cats 1 year and over or $100 for kittens) includes a free vet visit with one of our participating vets.<br/><br/>All of our cats have been spayed or neutered, tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV, vaccinated for rabies and distemper and have been treated, if necessary, for fleas and parasites.<br/><br/>We do adoptions by appointment only. We recommend filling out an adoption application first; then you can be pre-approved before your visit.
