PawPaw's Story

Meet PawPaw – The Gentle King of Cozy Living

PawPaw is a distinguished 10-year-old gray tabby gentleman who has fully embraced the good life indoors. Weighing in at a healthy 12 pounds, this handsome boy has the calm, wise energy that only comes with experience—and he’s ready to spend his golden years relaxing with a family of his own.

PawPaw earned his name while living outdoors in a colony for many years, where he was the only elder cat among the group. Over time, he completely charmed the caretaker who fed the colony for five years, slowly winning her over with his sweet personality. When she noticed he was having trouble eating, LOVEPAWS stepped in to get him the dental care he needed. After surgery, his caretaker opened her home to foster him—and PawPaw quickly decided that indoor life is exactly where he belongs.

These days, PawPaw spends his time doing what he does best: chilling like a king. He’s a very low-key guy who enjoys lounging, quietly observing the world around him, and following his foster mom from room to room like her little shadow. When it’s time for dinner, he’ll politely meow to remind you—his appetite is excellent!

PawPaw is an independent but gentle soul who likes to take a little time to get to know new people. Once he feels comfortable, he enjoys being picked up and absolutely loves belly rubs. He also has a secret adventurous side—if you give him the opportunity, he may climb up high to survey his kingdom from the top of your cabinets.

Because of his dental surgery, PawPaw only has his canine teeth and does best eating wet food with a little water mixed in, which he happily gobbles up.

This sweet senior would do best as the only cat in the home, where he can soak up all the peace and attention he deserves. His laid-back nature means he should do just fine with respectful kids and adults alike.

PawPaw has already spent years surviving outside—now he’s ready for the next chapter of his life: a warm home, soft places to nap, and a loving human to call his own.

Could PawPaw be the gentle companion you’ve been looking for?

Interested in adopting PawPaw?
