PATRICIA - a Loveable Big Girl Siamese

Loveable Patricia is a 4 1/2 year old Chocolate Point Siamese mix, she is the traditional Applehead Siamese with beautiful ocean blue eyes. Patricia came into our private rescue after her owner needed to surrender her due to living circumstances changing and Patricia was suddenly not getting along with a couple of the other kitties of the household, her owner was truly heartbroken to give her up. As it turned out - Patricia was actually very sick with a bladder infection, she was in severe pain, she had crystals and blood in her urine plus she was very overweight at 21.6 pounds and in desperate need of antibiotics and Veterinary care. Even though Patricia was so very sickly she has remained very sweet and loving during this whole time of of her recovery with her foster home.<br/><br/>Patricia has made a full recovery from her bladder infection, the crystals and blood in her urine have gone away with the course of antibiotics and with a combination of a diet change in her daily food. Patricia has lost some weight and now weighs 18 pounds; she will need to continue her gradual weight loss journey with her diet plan and more play exercise for her would also help to burn some additional calories off. Patricia will need to remain on a Veterinary Prescription Dry Food for the rest of her life so she does not come down with any more crystals forming in her urine, she has done very well on the Royal Canin Urinary SO Veterinary Prescription, both dry and wet food is available at most Vet clinics and also on Chewy and at PetCo.<br/><br/>Sweet Patricia is a very affectionate girl that loves to be brushed, she LOVES to be pet and to lay on your lap or next to you while you watch TV, read or work on your laptop, this girl will just lay by you (or on you) for hours if you let her! Patricia loves to take naps laying in the sun as it shines thru the windows in her foster home so a sunny place for her would be very desirable in her new home. She loves to sit by windows and watch the birds and other wildlife outside; she also loves to play with feather wands for her nighttime exercise. Patricia uses her scratching post at her foster home religiously every morning when she wakes up and at night before going to bed, she has impeccable litter box use with unscented clumping cat litter. <br/><br/>Patricia has the classical Siamese short fur length with Chocolate Points on her creamy tan body, her Chocolate mask on her face really makes her blue eyes stand out especially in the sunshine. Did I mention she also adores belly pets? right where she has a few adorable white hairs on her belly, she also has some white fur tuffs on her paws which could mean some Snowshoe Siamese is in her genetics as well. We were told her sister was a Lynx Point Siamese so there is Siamese in her genetic lineage somewhere along the line. Patricia's adoption fee is lower to reflect a non-papered purebred Siamese cat.<br/><br/>Patricia was deeply loved as a companion cat to her previous owner. We feel she would probably do best as a single or only cat in the household, unless you had an existing very mellow male kitty that would be respectful of her and not try to dominate her, as she has the more dominate personality of a female cat to begin with. In her current multi-cat foster home, she gets along with a few of the more mellow carefree male Siamese cats but there is other more dominate males and female cats she does not like or care for. Patricia was around cat friendly dogs in her previous home, she would lay with them in the same doggie bed we were told. With that said, we feel she would also be fine in a home that has a cat friendly dog in it.
