Our Mission
Our mission at Wisconsin Purebred Cat & Kitten Rescue is to rescue adult cats and kittens and provide them with the absolute best of medical care, healthy high quality food and a loving foster home until they would be ready and available for adoption. We pride ourselves on making the purrfect match of the cat or kitten with any potential adopter to insure they will be going to their furever loving home.
Adoption Policy
A completed adoption application is required for any of our cats or kittens. We review each application in order as received, references are checked, once approved you will be notified. A Formal Adoption Contract will be issued and an adoption date in the future will be scheduled.
Due to Covid 19 we have had to embrace new adoption procedures that have so far proven to be very successful - our adoptions are basically by the cats professional photographs taken that are posted and shared by email, their description and videos that we will shoot to show you how the cat is like and in person at her or his foster home, playing, laying, being brushed etc., we try to really show you the cats true personality in these videos so you can make an informed decision if you would like to adopt and if this is the type of cat you would desire to have. We are also able to Facetime or Facebook Video with potential adopters so we can see their home, talk with them at great length and show them the cat or kitten they are interested in adopting in person during the call. We also take into consideration what the desires are of the adoptive family as to the cats personality and if your current family home and surroundings we feel will fit with that specific cats needs. We strive diligently to have a win-win right from the start. We are trying to adhere to the "shelter at home" policy so we do not allow in home visits at this time to our foster homes as we have in the past. If you decide to adopt - all adoption contracts are done electronically and payment is made upon delivery of the kitty to your home. We then make arrangements date/time for when you want us to bring the cat there to your home once you have the house ready with cat trees, food etc. We will come to your home with the kitty in the cat carrier for the introduction, bring the kitties supplies that are included with the adoption and we will wear a face mask and gloves for everyone's protection.
All our rescues are fully Vetted and will come with their Final Health Check Release from our Veterinarian, they will also be spayed or neutered, up to date on Vaccines, Tested for FIV/FeLV and they are also micro-chipped.
Adoptions fees vary by cat and are based upon breed, age etc., and are disclosed upon contact from the potential adopter for information about the cat available for adoption. Fees can range from $100 - $500.
We are located in Spring Green, Wisconsin - just 35 minutes west of the state capitol city which is Madison, WI
