Parker's Story

Meet Parker!

Parker has already weathered more in her short life than most cats ever will. Born in March 2024, she found herself at animal control exactly a year later—scared, pregnant, and not yet ready for the world to be so unkind. She gave birth in the shelter, but the stress was overwhelming, and heartbreakingly, none of her kittens survived.

Since April, Parker has been safe in her foster home, slowly learning that life can be gentler. She is shy and cautious with people, but she absolutely adores the company of other cats, who are helping her gain the confidence to trust humans. Day by day, Parker edges a little closer to her foster, showing glimmers of the bond she’s ready to build. Food and curiosity are her great motivators—she can’t resist investigating what’s on her foster’s plate, inching nearer each time.

Parker has a playful, endearing side too. She loves stalking and chasing her feline friends, watching squirrels and birds from her window perch, and—most of all—carrying toy mice around the house, often dunking them in water dishes as part of her quirky signature routine.

This special girl is searching for a quiet, patient, adult-only home where she’ll have feline companions to guide her and humans willing to give her the time she needs to blossom. She would be delighted to be adopted with one of her fellow fosters with whom she is already comfortable! With love and understanding, Parker is sure to transform into a deeply loyal companion—the kind of cat whose trust, once earned, is the greatest gift of all.

--
Parker has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. She has been spayed and microchipped.

All have had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer and treated for fleas and ear mites if needed. If you are interested in meeting Parker, please go to our website and fill out a cat application.

*Please note, as per our policy, we only place animals in homes within a 100-mile radius of the Twin Cities Metropolitan area.

https://www.therescuepack.org/cat-adoption-application

The Rescue Pack's Adoption Policy
If interested in one of our animals, please fill out an application on our website. The application will then be reviewed by our applications team and passed on to the foster of the animal that was applied for. The foster will then review the application and, if deemed a good fit, will initiate a phone call with the applicant. If, after the phone call, both applicant and foster feel it is a good fit, a meeting with the animal will be scheduled. Once the meeting happens, and the approval from both foster and applicant are given to move forward - our adoptions team will send an electronic payment link to the adopter. Once payment has been received, our adoption contract will be sent along with vet records. The foster and the adopter will agree on an official adoption date - and the animal will now live happily ever after! If an applied for animal is no longer available, our team will assist in trying to find another good fit! If an application is not a good fit, the applicant will also be notified.
