Panther's Story

Hi, I'm Panther! A quiet soul with a sleek black coat and a gentle heart that's still learning how to feel safe. I was living as a feral cat in Denver before I made my way to the shelter, and this big new world is still a little scary for me. Most days, you'll find me tucked away in my favorite hidey bed on top of the kennels, watching quietly and taking things in at my own pace.

I'm very shy around people right now, but I'm trying, really trying, to open up. The way to my heart? Patience, kindness...and food. I love to eat, and tasty treats are definitely the key to earning my trust. Also - WAND TOYS! I absolutely love to chase and hunt!

I feel most at ease around other cats, and I'd do well in a calm home with a feline friend to show me the ropes. I may not be the kind of cat who runs to the door for attention (at least not yet), but with time, love, and a peaceful environment, I have the potential to grow into a loyal and gentle companion.

If you believe in second chances and the quiet magic of gaining a shy cat's trust, I'd be honored to meet you!
