Panchito's Story

Meet Panchito 💛

Panchito is an incredibly affectionate, loving boy who truly lives for connection with his people. He adores attention and will happily show it—nuzzling into you, giving gentle kisses, rubbing against your legs, and climbing right into your lap whenever he gets the chance. He is the kind of cat who makes you feel deeply chosen, and he is endlessly grateful for love and companionship. he's a loverboy with a full-body purr!

Panchito is also FIV positive (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). This simply means he carries a virus that affects the immune system of cats. It is not contagious to humans, and in stable indoor environments, FIV+ cats can live long, happy, normal lives. The virus is primarily spread through deep bite wounds, not through casual contact like cuddling, grooming, or sharing space. Many FIV+ cats live peacefully with other friendly cats as well.

📍 Currently at our Punta Mita, Mexico location
✈️ Easily transported to Canada & the U.S. with flight angel escorts

What Panchito needs most is a safe indoor home where he can continue doing what he does best—loving his people wholeheartedly and being right by their side.

If you’re looking for a deeply devoted companion who wants nothing more than closeness, affection, and connection, Panchito will absolutely steal your heart. 💛

Panchito has had our complete Cat protocol :

* Complete Health exam by a Vet
* Feline tests to rule out FeLV, FIV & Heartworm
* Bloodwork 1: CBC (Mycoplasma check if indicated)
* Bloodwork 2: Chem profile
* Deworming at intake and monthly thereafter
* Vaccines: Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis (FVR), Feline Distemper (FP), Calicivirus (FCV), Rabies
* Spay/Neuter
* Flea/Tick prevention
* Microchipping

Please send us an application at : wetnosesrescue.org/adoption-application-Cats

Wet Noses Rescue's Adoption Policy
First, adopters must fill out our online application at wetnosesrescue.org. If approved, there is a phone interview and virtual home check. We are a shelter based in Punta de Mita, Mexico, and also operate in San Diego. We understand that it can be challenging to meet our animals in person due to the distance. However, we have a process in place to ensure a smooth adoption experience. Most of our animals are located at our shelter in Punta de Mita. We frequently arrange transportation for our animals up the West Coast of the USA (San Francisco, Seattle, etc.) and the Western Provinces of Canada (Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, etc.). To help you get a better sense of the animals, we can offer additional photos, videos, and even schedule video calls. Please see our Google Reviews (https://goo.gl/maps/aDbyG4vW9YWNTs4d7) for some of our adoptive families' experiences. We are a volunteer run organization, and a flight angel would accompany them. This area is a touristy area, and many people like to volunteer in various ways to support the community, and especially support the neglected animals finding good homes. To secure flights, it generally takes us between 1-4 weeks once an animal is ready to go home.
