Pam's Story

Hi, my name is Pam. I am about 6 years old and came to the shelter 8/11/26 because my owner had too many animals. I am considered special needs, as I have been showing some mild neurological symptoms. The staff here call me Silly Pam! They monitored me alone for a while to make sure everything else is normal, and I passed that "test" with flying colors. I eat, drink, sleep, play, pee and poop normally. I'm just a little wobbly is all. I love being held and will happily curl up in your lap and make myself at home. I love nap time and it's probably my favorite time of the day if I'm being honest. I look at you with love and have a great appreciation for people if that makes sense. I can't wait to find my forever home, and I hope that me being a little silly doesn't deter you from coming and meeting me. The staff believe I will live a long and happy life with no future problems regarding my disability. If you think you'd be the one to give me unconditional love, please come and meet me!

Montgomery County SPCA's Adoption Policy
At the Montgomery County SPCA, we are dedicated to finding responsible, forever homes for all the pets in our care. To that end, we have created a thorough adoption process which helps us achieve this goal. This process includes a check of veterinary history records on any pets you currently have, and a home visit. If you rent your home, we require written proof (letter or lease) from your landlord that you are allowed to have pets. We undertake this kind of thorough review to ensure that animals who have already been discarded at least once will never have to experience this again.
