Pam's Story
Pam is a super sweet cat who was surrendered to PAWS with her roaming partner, Steve (a young orange tabby). They were well known in a NW OKC neighborhood for their sweet natures and were surrendered to PAWS-OK so we could find them a home. Unfortunately when we took them to the vet, we discovered that both of them are FIV positive. This virus is not deadly to healthy young cats but is transferable through mating and serious fighting (deep penetrating bites). If you are looking for a pair of cats these may be a great pick or if you want to adopt just one, it would need to be either an only cat or live with another FIV cat and be kept indoor only to prevent spread. Pam loves everyone and is submissive to Steve who is a bit more alpha.
