Oven Mitts's Story

Hi, I'm Oven Mitts! I'm an 8 year old girl who loves to snuggle and play. If you're laying in bed, I love to crawl under the covers and snuggle up next to you. I also love being brushed. I sleep most of the day but also love play time. If you throw toys for me, I'll go chase them. I like watching the TV, so if you're watching a show I'll often join and watch with you.

I'm great about using my litter box and am very comfortable in the house. I sometimes get spooked by new noises but I'm pretty confident. I'm very vocal and will have "conversaations" with my humans.

I don't like some other cats, and my foster humans don't have a dog, so it would be best if I was the only pet in my forever home. While I don't always like other animals, I sure do love my humans! I would likely be comfortable in a home with older children who would respect my boundaries and understand proper cat handling.

Oven Mitts has food allergies and needs to be on a prescription diet. If not on the diet, she vomits. A phone consult with a volunteer veterinarian is included in the adoption fee.

Please head to our website to fill out a free application to learn more about this cat and to start the adoption process. Once your adoption application is approved we will contact you to set up a meeting. http://nwac-oregon.org/adoption-application/ Petfinder inquiries are not monitored on a regular basis.

The $140 adoption fee Includes spay/neuter, microchip, FeLV/FIV testing (negative unless noted) de-worming and flea treatment, current vaccines for their age, and a vet exam while in foster care thru NWAC's volunteer veterinarians.

Northwest Animal Companions is an all-volunteer, non-profit foster-home based rescue. 100% of your adoption fee goes to provide for the medical and physical needs of the pets in our care.
