Otter's Story

Otter may be 11 years old, but this lovely senior still has plenty of love and head bumps to share! After his owner experienced health challenges that sadly left them unable to continue caring for him, and with no family able to take him in, Otter has found himself searching for a new place to call home.

Otter is a friendly, sweet boy who can be a bit shy when you first meet him, but he warms up quickly. He enjoys being with people, happily accepting pets and stopping by for affectionate leg rubs to say hello! One of Otter's most endearing features is his adorably short front legs. They may make him a little unique, but they certainly don't slow him down. He gets around just fine and goes about his days with quiet confidence, proving that being a little short on legs doesn't mean being short on spirit.

Otter would be happiest in a calm, low-traffic home with adults or older, respectful children who understand that he appreciates a gentle touch. With his friendly, gentle nature, he would do well with another cat friend and has previously shared his home with a dog. Otter is diabetic, but he is the purrfect patient and takes his medication twice a day with ease. He has no other health concerns and is a true gentleman when it comes to using his litter box.

To learn more about Otter or to arrange a visit to the shelter, please reach out or fill out an application.
