Othello's Story

Othello was a stray that walked into an elderly lady's apartment. She was not permitted to have pets, so we took him into our program.

He came in all tough and bossy because he was not neutered. But we took care of that real quick. He has really settled down but does not know how to play with cats and it easily turns into a fight, so we think he will do better as an only pet.

He's very affectionate. He's about 3 years old and stinking cute and that is his saving grace. He has a compact little body, and he walks around like he's a bouncer at a club. Sometimes he will pick on a cat and very nonchalantly walk away slowly acting like he didn't know what happened.

UPDATE # 1:

Othello has gone to foster care! Here is what his foster family has to say:

"Othello is a wonderful companion! His face tattoo makes him look tough but hes a very sweet boy. He is mellow enough to entertain himself when were busy but quick to greet us by affectionate leg rubs (especially in the kitchen). He doesnt like to be picked up but loves to be petted. Othello is well behaved at night making his rounds quietly so as to not wake up his human companions. This little guy is a great roommate and would make a terrific addition to a home with no other pets."

UPDATE # 2:

Othello is still looking for his forever home.

Othello was found begging to be let inside as it was brutally cold. He was then in a shelter for a year and unfortunately had to be locked up at night because he was kind of a bully. But after a couple months of stability outside the shelter, he's become a well behaved and playful companion. Here's more about him:

Loves, loves, loves playing with his bird on a string. Will meow and run over to the stick putting his paw on it looking up at you, clearly wanting you to play with him.

Begs for pets on the head and ears. Will start purring with head scratches

Likes to hangout and be close but not much of a snuggle or lap cat yet

He's grateful not to have to live on the streets and shows it by never trying to escape, being super well behaved (no getting up on counters and tables), doesn't get into trash, only scratches his scratching posts, and is a light shedder.

He's a cool cat that just wants to hang out and play until he exhausts himself into a heavy nap in a bed or on a cozy chair.

This little cat has so much personality.

If interested, please email Mirna at Mirnabowman.cdc@gmail.com
614-471-9000
Must be 24 or older.
Adoptions to Central Ohio homes only.
All dogs and cats in the home must be spayed/neutered.
Adoption Fee $100.00
