Oscar's Story

Oscar is still waiting for his people, and honestly, he can't believe it either. At a year and a half old, this handsome tuxedo boy has completely perfected the art of being equal parts sweet and sassy.

Don't expect him to throw himself into your arms the second you meet himOscar has standards, okay? He likes to take his time deciding who is worthy of his royal attention, which only makes it that much more rewarding when you finally make the cut. One minute hes stretched out dramatically in a sunny spot like he pays the bills, and the next hes demanding chin scratches and aggressively batting his toys around.

He has a mountain of personality packed into one very dapper tuxedo suit; he just needs a patient human who understands that the best things in life are worth waiting for.

The Quick Stats:

Age: 1.5 years old

Style: Exquisite tuxedo coat

Vibe: Independent, playful, and selectively affectionate.

Ready to audition for the role of Oscar's favorite human? Bellwether Harbor's Adoption Policy
Bellwether Harbor does not do same day adoptions. Please keep in mind multiple visits to the shelter may be required. This number is determined various factors including the potential adopter’s experience and the training level/potential behavior issues of the animal. If you are interested in adopting a dog or cat, please fill out an application on the shelter website. After the application has been received, the Adoption Coordinator will conduct a landlord check and vet check (where applicable). If approved, applicants are contacted for a phone interview, after which an appointment may be set up to meet the animal. Please note: Applying for an animal does not guarantee adoption of said animal. Adoptions are approved based on a variety of factors. We do our best to match animals with the best homes, not the first homes. It is possible that adoption of a specific animal will be denied even if the application is approved. For more information on the adoption process, please visit http://www.bellwetherharbor.org/adoptions/the-process/
