Oscar's Story

Oscar’s story began on a freezing December day in 2025, when our founder noticed a struggling cat trying to survive outdoors. He was in rough shape — clearly uncomfortable and in pain — and it took time, gentle persistence, and plenty of tasty treats and tuna to earn enough trust to bring him to safety. Once rescued, we discovered he was suffering from severe ear infections and a painful abscess that desperately needed care.

We don’t know what Oscar endured before he was rescued, but it’s clear he’s been through a lot. Because of that, he needs a special someone who understands that trust takes time. Oscar isn’t the type to rush into your arms on day one — but with patience, gentle voices, and a calm routine, he is slowly learning that people can be kind.

Oscar thrives in a quiet environment where he feels safe and secure. He enjoys cozy spots, soft blankets, and simply being near someone who respects his space. Every small step forward is a victory for this brave boy.

With love and understanding, Oscar will continue to blossom. If you have a peaceful home and a patient heart, you could be the one to show Oscar that his hardest days are finally behind him. 💛

All of our cats are intended to be indoor-only unless otherwise noted. Every cat is spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations prior to adoption. For their health and well-being, declawing is not permitted.

Interested in adopting? Please complete our adoption application here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/JEEP/Cat
