Oscar's Story

Part cuddlebug, part best friend, all sweetness.

Meet Oscar: a handsome little silver tabby with striking blue eyes, soft striped markings, and a gentle personality that makes him impossible not to love. Oscar arrived with his brother and sister, and the three of them look so alike they could easily pass for triplets. While he's certainly adorable, it's his sweet nature and easygoing personality that truly make him special.

Oscar is the kind of kitten who fits effortlessly into almost any home. He loves affection, enjoys snuggling with his people, and is always happy to curl up beside you after a day of exploring. Unlike some kittens who are constantly looking for mischief, Oscar has a calm and balanced personality. He enjoys playing and being active, but he also knows how to relax and simply enjoy being close to the people and animals he loves.

Oscar would really love a home with another cat or kitten - he and his brother, Orwell are available to adopted together at a reduced adoption fee.

Personality: Gentle, affectionate, easygoing, and loving. Oscar has a sweet, thoughtful nature and a wonderfully calm temperament for such a young kitten. He enjoys attention and companionship but isn't demanding about it. Whether he's playing with his siblings, cuddling with his humans, or quietly watching the world around him, Oscar brings a peaceful and comforting presence wherever he goes.

Favorites: Snuggling with his people, napping with his siblings, gentle play sessions, cozy blankets, tasty treats, and spending time with his animal friends. Oscar especially loves curling up next to someone he trusts and settling in for a good cuddle.

Home vibe: Indoor-only; would thrive in a loving home where he can continue receiving affection, companionship, and plenty of opportunities to play and explore. His adaptable personality makes him a wonderful fit for first-time cat owners, families, and multi-pet households alike.

Other pets: Excellent with other cats and enjoys feline companionship. Great with dogs and comfortable sharing his space with respectful canine friends. Oscar is a social little guy who enjoys having friends around, whether they walk on two legs or four.

Litter habits: Excellent.

Health: Up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, and will be neutered prior to adoption if age appropriate.

If you're looking for a kitten who combines playful curiosity with a gentle heart, Oscar may be the perfect addition to your family. Sweet, cuddly, and wonderfully easygoing, he's ready to spend his days filling a lucky home with love

Florida Cat and Dog Project, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
1. Apply (5-10 minutes). Submit the online application with basic household info, pet history, and your vet/landlord contacts. 2. Conversation & Matchmaking (24-72 hrs). An adoption counselor reviews your application and schedules a quick call. We discuss lifestyle, routines, and what you’re hoping for so we can recommend the best fit (energy, training needs, medical considerations). 3. erification. 4. Vet check: current pets are up to date on vaccines/preventives and spayed/neutered (case-by-case medical exceptions). 5. Housing check: confirmation of pet/breed/weight policies and deposits if renting or HOA-regulated. 6. Meet & Greet. 7. Dogs: neutral-site or foster-home intro; bring resident dogs if applicable. 8. Cats: meet in the foster room; we’ll talk through multi-cat introductions and decompression. If everyone’s comfortable, we can move to a same-day or scheduled placement. 9. Home Review (virtual or in-person). A quick walkthrough (video is fine) to confirm basics: safe exits, litter/feeding areas, yard or leash plan, and where the pet will sleep/decompress. 10. Foster-to-Adopt (optional for puppies/kittens/medical). Short trial (typically 3–7 days; longer for medical cases) so the pet and household can settle. We provide supplies/meds as needed; your counselor stays in touch. 11. Finalize. Adoption contract, medical disclosure (all known history, vaccines/tests, meds, behavior notes), and the adoption fee (helps cover vetting). We register the microchip to you and email the full medical record and next-due dates. 12. Aftercare. We check in at 48 hours, 2 weeks, and 30 days. Behavior and medical support are available; if a mismatch occurs, we honor a return-to-rescue policy, no judgment, we’ll regroup and rematch. What we look for: safe, stable housing; a realistic plan for time, training, and vet care; and a good fit between the pet’s needs and your lifestyle. There’s no “perfect home”, just a committed one with the right support. Out of area? Case-by-case if we can complete counseling, a reliable home check, and arrange safe transport.
