Orion's Story

Orion is a sweet little guy who just wants love!

Once LOVES to play. He gets into “pounce mode” with tiny wiggles and creative sneak attacks on toys. He’s also smart — figuring out new ways to explore spaces or entertain himself. He’s independent in the best way: happy to have his own quiet time, but increasingly seeking out connection and affection on his terms. When he flops down or rubs on your leg you for pets, it feels like a huge compliment.

He also happens to be an exceptionally easy house cat. Orion uses scratch pads consistently, is very gentle with furniture, keeps himself clean, and has a soft, silky coat. He’s an enthusiastic yet moderate eater, has an emerging chatty streak, and is overall a great housemate!

Because of some hard experiences early in life, Orion may take time to adjust to new people and environments. He may not be the cat who greets strangers at the door on day one. But with patience, calm energy, and a little space to settle in, he continues to blossom more every week. Watching him build confidence has been incredibly rewarding.

Orion could be a wonderful fit for someone who wants the joy of a cat without needing constant attention or stimulation from their pet. Abandoned through no fault of his own, Orion deserves a home where he can keep growing into the brave little guy we know he is. He can be hesitant with new people but, once he opens up, he's an affectionate, playful, and endearing companion.

If you're interested in this sweetie, or have any questions, please reach out! adoption@acatsliferescue.org
