Hi! I am Oreo, a young domestic shorthair kitty with gorgeous black and white markings. I have a larger than life personality but I prefer to keep to myself. I am somewhat fearful of humans as some humans haven't been kind to me. Once I acclimate to you, I warm up and enjoy letting you pet me and I will start to purr. <br/><br/>I am spayed, and I am up to date on my vaccines - distemper and rabies. I have been FIV/Feline Leukemia tested and I am negative for both. I receive routine flea and tick preventatives, monthly as well as some well deserved pampering periodically: brushing, nail trims & ear cleaning.<br/><br/>My ideal home includes a quiet and calm home. I tolerate other kitties with a similar temperament. I do not like smaller kittens or high activity kitties who pester me. I don't mind other cats though that keep their distance and/or can match my energy. I do not know how I would do with dogs. I would do best in a home with older kids - ones that can respect my space and distance, if need be. <br/><br/>I need a family that is caring, compassionate and loving. I want a family that is patient, willing to give me what I need: a warm bed, plenty of good food & clean water, and good ol' pets and love. Once I warm up, I enjoy being pet and loved on. I also like to be in front of a window catching warm sun rays & watching the world go by.<br/><br/>My shelter family works tirelessly to ensure I and my friends go to the right family.
