OREO's Story

Oreo (A141605) is a 6-year-old DSH who weighed 10.75 pounds on intake! Foster update: They are really sweet, affectionate, and polite boys. They get along great and play nicely together. They hid from the one other cat that they met. They can be scared of new environments, but come around with time. It does seem that Oreo may have previously been allowed outdoors and will paw at the front door. Please be aware of windows and doors to the outside so he does not make his great escape. 04/07/26 These two brothers are Oreo and Lovely! They were surrendered to the shelter because the child in the home was allergic to them. However, it was noted that they do well with babies and children. Oreo and Lovely were known to both be scaredy cats when new people came around and may hide. They were said to do well with dogs after appropriate introductions are made but can be fearful around other cats. These brothers are bonded, so we are requiring that they go to a home together. If you plan on introducing them to other critters, please ensure you are making slow, safe, and controlled introductions. Oreo and Lovely were both noted to use the litterbox and have had no issues going outside the box in foster. They both arrived at the shelter with issues with their eyes – courtesy of the shelter fund, they received the treatment that they needed. If you are interested in meeting Oreo and Lovely, please let us know!
