Oreo

Oreo is an 8 year old, black and white, shorthair, spayed female cat.<br/><br/>Oreo is calm, quiet, and reserved. She is comfortable around her adult people, however she is standoffish of other animals. <br/><br/>Oreo is on the shy side; she is willing to hang back in her familiar hiding spot till her person is ready to give her lots of petting <br/><br/>She loves to be petted, likes hanging out in the catio if it is quiet, and loves cuddling at bedtime. She will hold your hand when pets are done.<br/><br/>She is not a big fan of loud noises or other animals. She seems to like having rooms to be able to keep track of and feel comfortable in. She needs time to settle into her environment.<br/><br/>Oreo is not used to being held but she is okay in short amounts as she learns to trust.<br/><br/> She is not a big lapcat, however she likes to be right up next to you in bed and sometimes will walk over you after she is comfortable. She is a big snuggler at bedtime! Otherwise, she wants to be near you. <br/><br/>She enjoys plenty of petting after she is comfortable around people.<br/><br/>She has started playing with some toys after her adjustment period in her foster home. Her favorite toy is a wand with rope and toy at the end.<br/><br/>With other cats that she doesn’t know well, she is standoffish and not certain about how the other will act. She does not show any agitation or aggression with other cats. <br/><br/>She gives the dogs in her foster home a lot of space. If they’re ignoring her she will cautiously move around the dogs.<br/><br/>We do not know how she would do with young children. Given her temperament, she would prefer a home with older teens and adults.<br/><br/>Oreo would prefer a quiet home being the only pet, or sharing the home with one other calm pet. She may be shy, however once she warms up, she loves attention and human companionship. She has had a significant change in her life, after living with one owner. She needs a family who will give her encouragement and coax her out of her shell.<br/><br/>Oreo Has had a full vet check and blood panel work up.
