What is Foreverhome Pet Rescue South’s adoption process?

Our adoption process requires that an application is filled out and submitted via our website.  The application will then be submitted to the Board of Directors for review to determine whether or not your application represents the best situation for the pet you applied to adopt.  If the Board of Directors approves your application, you will be notified to set up a meet & greet with animal you are interested in. If adopting, you will be asked to sign an adoption contract and pay the tax deductible donation. We can only to adopt to homes in the Southern California area.  We have adoption events at:   Unleashed by Petco 600 Redondo Ave (between 6th & 7th St)  Long Beach, CA 90814   Saturday - By appointment only Sunday - 12:30pm - 3:00pm    Not all animals are at adoptions due to l

Opie is good with other cats. It is not known if Opie is good with dogs.

When can I meet Opie?

As soon as the adoption organization has a chance to review your information, they’ll reach out with next steps and timing.
