Opal's Story
Opal is a 16-year-old beauty who truly lives up to her gem of a name. This darling girl was rescued from being euthanized and has spent her golden years being loved and cherished in foster care. Now, she’s ready to find her forever home — one that appreciates her unique quirks, gentle spirit, and occasional sass!

Opal is front-declawed and deaf, which likely contributes to her preference for peace and quiet. She needs to be the only pet in her household — no cats, no dogs — just her and her human(s). That said, she’s wonderfully social and loves to be around people, making her the perfect companion for someone who works from home or spends lots of time there.

Despite her age, Opal still has plenty of personality and energy. She adores her catnip toys, enjoys batting them around with surprising enthusiasm, and will happily chat with you using her adorable, raspy meow. She’s affectionate and loves to nap nearby (or on top of you!), but she’s also great at setting her own boundaries — she’ll let you know when she’s ready for some “me time.”

Her favorite activities include:
? Sleeping in her cat tree under her favorite sunny window
? Following her human to the bathroom for their morning and bedtime routines (she must drink from the faucet!)
? Exploring the house and finding new cozy nap spots
? Mealtime — she absolutely loves her Fancy Feast wet food and gets fed multiple small meals a day (she’s not a dry food fan, thank you very much)
.
Because Opal is a sensitive girl, she’ll thrive in a calm, predictable home where she can feel safe and loved. She’s not a fan of car rides — she’ll chat with you the entire way — but once she’s home, she settles right in.

If you’re looking for a gentle, loving, and delightfully chatty companion to share your space and your heart, Opal is your girl. She’s ready to spend her days basking in the sun, napping by your side, and enjoying her well-deserved happily ever after.

DOB: 08/29/2008

Ready to make Opal part of your family forever?
