ONYX

Big, Beautiful ONYX is 17 pounds of pure kitty love! He was adopted as a kitten, along with his equally beautiful sister OPAL in 2022. They were very much loved by their owners, but unfortunately, the couple were moving across the country and could not take the kitties with them. ONYX is ok with other kitties (especially sister OPAL). He's good with children, though with his size, he may be too much for a young child to handle, so would probably do better with older children. W do not know how they would be with a dog.<br/><br/>ONYX apparently is a total love bug! His owners report he also loves to chase a laser toy, play in boxes, and really gets into a belly rub! ONYX also loves sitting in the window, in the sunshine, watching the world go by! But most of all ONYX loves his sister OPAL!!!!<br/><br/>OPAL is a gorgeous, petite (next to her brother), 11-pound Calico. OPAL is a bit more reserved than her brother, and seems to be a little more tentative about their new surroundings. She is definitely taking clues from her more outgoing brother and has started coming out for pets and attention. She may take a bit more time to warm up, but she is a calico and calicos are often slower to warm up but become sweet and loving once they are comfortable in their home.<br/><br/>ONYX and OPAL were litter mates and have never been separated. They are confused by the loss of their home and family, so they are depending on one another, as they always have. We promised the heartbroken former owners to find a family who will allow this dynamic duo to stay together.
