OLIVER - LOVEABLE SNOW LYNX POINT SIAMESE MALE

Oliver came into rescue through no fault of his own after being found very hungry, lost and abandoned outside on an extremely hot day in early July. The wonderful elderly woman that found him at her doorstep knew immediately he was a very friendly kitty and must have been an indoor cat at one time. She tried to find his owners but sadly no one came forward to claim him. Oliver was taken into our rescue, we scanned him for a microchip and none was found, we also looked for his owners and held him under the stray hold law while we looked and no owner could be found, no one reported this beautiful and sweet boy missing that we could locate through all our resources.<br/><br/>Oliver is an 8-month-old Snow Lynx Point Siamese Bengal mix with beautiful Caribbean Blue eyes that will captivate you in the sunlight! His light blue eye color really stands out and who can resist that adorable tawny tan and pink nose! Oliver has Lynx Point stripes on his face, ears, legs and tail and a body in creamy white, he has muted rosettes in a darker tan color on his back and sides that show of his Bengal mix genetics that will most likely become more defined as he gets older. Oliver has the typical Siamese Bengal swanky strut in his walk. This genuinely very sweet, adorable kitty looks for lots of petting and he loves to offer up his belly for those scrumptious belly rubs too! Oliver has a very friendly “dog like” personality, he will follow you around in every room of the house and chat with you with adorable brpbrpbrp chips, he is also very friendly to people he does not know and looks for pets from anyone that meets him. He was very well behaved at his recent Vet visit and had everyone at the clinic falling in love with him. This sweetheart has adorable mittens with black jellybean pads, he loves to make “air-biscuits” while he lays next to you while you pet him. He will also make biscuits on any soft blanket or kitty bed he lays on til’ he falls asleep. Oliver has done very well on a mix of Royal Canin Kitten dry food and Royal Canin Indoor dry food and his coat has improved and become very soft and no longer dry and brittle, we would suggest to keep him on this mix of the two Royal Canin dry foods till he is one year old and then he can transition full time to the Royal Canin Indoor dry food or the Royal Canin Siamese dry food which is specially formulated for his breed. Royal Canin Indoor and the Siamese Dry Food do not need a veterinary prescription and can be purchased at most large pet stores like PetSmart and online with Chewy and Amazon. Oliver being a purebred cat rescue, he will not come with any CFA or TICA paperwork from a Siamese or Bengal Cat Breeder and his adoption fee has been lowered to reflect that of a non-papered purebred cat.<br/><br/>Oliver has the typical Siamese “Meezer voice” and he will answer you when you talk with him, if you call for him - he will call out back for you in his “rolling chirp trills” if he does not see where you are in the house right away. Oliver has done very well at his foster home and he seems to get along with all the older foster kitties in the home as well, he wants to be friends with everyone in his foster room. Oliver would be an excellent companion cat for a single person or a working or semi-retired couple, he would do best in a home that has no dogs or young children living there full time, children of middle school age and older would be fine for him especially if they were respectful and cat friendly and would spend time with him petting and playing with him and letting him keep them company while they watched TV or while they read. Oliver would be fine with another existing kitty or two of a similar age and that has a more mellow laid-back seasoned cat friendly type of personality. Of course, with any new kitty coming into the home of an existing kitty/kitties, appropriate slow introductions would need to be made to ensure happiness can be established for all.<br/><br/>Oliver has all his claws intact, he is a very healthy kitty and is up to date on his Vaccines, he is neutered, he tested negative for FeLV/FIV/HW and he is also microchipped. <br/><br/>Oliver’s foster mom says this about him:<br/><br/>“Oliver is a wonderful very sweet and loveable teenage cat that seeks companionship with you. This boy loves to have his belly rubbed and will roll around on the floor or on the bed till you reach over to give him some belly rubs. Oliver has been a great office assistant and has kept me company while laying next to me while I work on my laptop. He loves to play with feather wands and to chase around with fuzzy rattle mice and bat balls around, but his all-time favorite is his Smarty Cat Catnip mouse which he plays with all the time and keeps by him when he sleeps Oliver has excellent and very tidy litter box use, he will use the scratch posts and cardboard scratchers that are on the floor in his foster room, he has not scratched any of the furniture in the foster room or in the home. All his Veterinary paperwork and microchipping information is provided in a file folder so you will have it when you make an appointment with your Vet.
