Oliver's Story

April 7th, 2026 - Please read Oliver's bio, requirements for adoption and if you think he would be a good fit then go to avacats.org and fill out an online application form. An adoption co ordinator will be in touch<br/>Oliver came in to our rescue mid March. He had been abandonned by his owners over 4 months ago in a townhouse complex when they moved away and left him. He was being fed by residents and returned to his former home through a broken basement window. It became urgent when the townhouses were slated for demolition so a trapper went and managed to catch him. He went to our vet where it was estimated that he was around 5 years old and had been neutered in the past. He was in good shape . We had him viral tested and he was FIV/FeLeuk negative. He was dewormed, flea treated, received updated FVCRP vaccines plus rabies and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250. Oliver loves being back inside , getting lots of attention, sleeping on a soft bed, playing with his catnip toys and especially loves the wand ones, cuddling with his foster mom and no worries about food. He was a little anxious the first week or so , crying out until he realized that he hadn't been abandonned again . He is ready to find his new home where he will be treated royally as he so deserves. AVA has an indoor and no declaw policy.
