Oliver's Story
Oliver - Neutered Male. Approximate DOB is 2/14/2024. Oliver is current on his vaccines and has tested Negative for Feline Aids (FIV) and Feline Leukemia (FELV). Oliver is a SH Black.

His Love A Stray Rescuer writes: Oliver was rescued from a feral colony in the cold of February, living behind an apartment complex in a local community. While attempting to trap a different cat that night, Oliver came right up for the food. He started rubbing on my legs and looking for pets, almost immediately. He was easily picked up and placed into a carrier, and patiently waited in the car for his ticket out of there!

He was nervous in a new environment at first, hissing once when you would open his cage, but staying up in his bed just watching. He initially had wounds on his head, ears and his backside., poor guy. Life was tough out there this past winter. He was a great patient, allowing his ears to be cleaned until healed. Once he was feeling better, his true personality began to show! Slowly he would jump down from his bed to check us out, remembering he did in fact like to be petted. Now he is a chatty boy! Meows when he wants your attention or hears the food coming! He has never minded other cats and would likely do well with a slow proper introduction. Oliver is loving the indoor life and now he is looking for his forever home!

Oliver would sure love to have his very own home. He would do well in a home with a family that has love to give. He will need time to adjust to a new family and slow introductions to other pets. Likely, no very small children and no dogs. If you’d like to meet Oliver or any of our other adoptable cats and kittens, please complete a pre-adoption application on our website: www.loveastraycat.com.
