Orphan Annie's Neonatal Rescue's Adoption Policy
Potential Adopters must first submit a written application. A member of our team does a preliminary check of the application for any red flags such as pet allergies or no permission to have pets with renters. We then call references, vet practices for insight on the potential adopter.
We determine if the animal they are interested in will be a good fit for their life and their environment. We then set up in person meet and greets. We do not do same day adoptions at adoption events. We must have time to properly evaluate the application. We do not do meet and greets without an approved adopter. If the meet goes well, and the animal is fixed, microchipped, vaccinated, and healthy, they can take the animal after fee is paid and contract is signed.
