OJ's Story
OJ is a two‑year‑old spayed female with a beautiful orange coat—hence her name, just like orange juice. She first appeared on our rural property in the spring of 2025, very pregnant and clearly in need of help. We set up a feeding station and safe shelter for her on our front porch. Although she chose a hidden spot to have her kittens, she brought them to the porch once they were a couple of months old, and that’s when her sweet personality really started to shine.

OJ quickly became friendly and social, along with one of her kittens who has since been adopted. In November 2025, OJ and her three kittens were all spayed/neutered at the Plainview Veterinary Clinic and received their rabies vaccinations and first distemper shots.

While two of her kittens remain shy and prefer our heated outdoor shelters, OJ made it clear she was ready for the comfort of indoor life. She has excellent indoor manners, uses the litter box reliably, enjoys playing with toys, and absolutely loves being petted. She adapts quickly and forms strong bonds with her people.

OJ does need to be the only cat in her future home, as she has shown aggression toward our elderly resident cat. She will thrive in a home where she can be the one‑and‑only feline and soak up all the love and attention.

This affectionate, resilient girl is ready for a home of her own—one where she can be cherished just as much as she’ll cherish her humans. Please call Lin Funk at 507-251-7990 if you're interested in adopting OJ.

*This is a courtesy post through HAHS so any vet care and adoption cost will be setup with the current owner. HAHS holds no liability for the animal.
