Odie's Story

Meet Odie! Odie is a 3 year old neutered male. He is now at the shelter, looking for a forever home!
Poor Odie is here through no real fault of his own. The trouble is, he's just too sweet for this world. His owner told us that Odie feels his best when he has a buddy around, and started refusing to eat unless he was let outside to chill with the stray cats. When they started to bully him away from the food, though, Odie just let them and was slowly starving. His owner couldn't figure out how to best help Odie, so he made the tough decision to help him find a home that might be a better fit.
Odie is taking some time to adjust to the shelter, and asks that you go slow when you meet him. This is pretty typical for adult cats when they first arrive, as this loud and stressful environment can be overwhelming to newcomers. All he asks is that you take some time and give him the chance to trust you!
Odie has lived around dogs, cats, and kids before and got along well with them all. As previously mentioned, he can be quite submissive, so his future owner will need to take care that he isn't getting bullied again. We always recommend a meet and greet with the whole family to ensure Odie is the right fit for you.
Odie is up to date on his vaccinations and is litter box trained. All he needs now is to find that perfect home where he can truly thrive! If you think Odie could be the cat for you, stop by and meet him today!
