Obsidian's Story
Obsidian has a personality as bright as her shiny, glassy coat and pretty eyes. She’s funny, friendly, so easy to love, and she makes us laugh every day.

When she was living in the cat cafe, she was a bit withdrawn and overwhelmed, but now that she is in a foster home and the center of attention, she took no time at all to come out of her shell.

Her favorite activities include bird and squirrel watching in the window, talking to you with her adorable chirps and trills, popping out from a corner to spook you, taking turns chasing and being chased around the apartment, and resting one paw on your foot while laying on the couch together.

She suffered some abuse and neglect before she came to the rescue but she doesn’t hold that against anyone. Now that she's in a safe and loving home, she's curious about everyone she meets. She runs to greet people at the door as soon as she hears them coming up the stairs, whether it’s her foster parents or a new friend.

She’s very smart and learned how to sit for her daily wet food feeding after just a few tries (yes, it’s as cute as you are imagining). She has a little mischievous streak, but she's also very teachable — she knows now that countertops are off limits and that she needs to keep her claws retracted when she plays and pounces at your feet. Her zoomies are very cute and non-destructive. She is the perfect combo of playful, relaxed, and independent: a total sweetie angel who will bring laughter, fun, peace, and calm to your life.

She's going to be a great companion whether you're a first-time or experienced cat owner. She can’t wait to meet her forever bestie!

This cat would prefer to be adopted alone and be the only cat in the home.
