Oatmeal's Story

Meet Oatmeal!

Looking for the sweetest way to start your day? Meet Oatmeal! This gorgeous medium-haired tortie is estimated to be around 4 years old, but honestly... we're not convinced. At just 6 pounds, she's so tiny and adorable that she still looks like a kitten!

Like any proper tortie, Oatmeal comes with a little extra personality—otherwise known as tortitude! She isn't shy about letting you know when she thinks dinner should have been served five minutes ago, or when she's mildly offended by your life choices. (She's swatted us once or twice over important matters... like delayed meals. We respect her honesty. ) Because of her sassy streak, she'd do best in a home without very young children.

Don't let that fool you, though—Oatmeal is also incredibly sweet. She has the softest, fluffiest fur, stunning tortoiseshell coloring, huge whiskers and can be held and loved on. She's playful, curious, and absolutely convinced that Churu is the greatest invention in human history. She'll politely (well... mostly politely!) head-butt the other cats out of the way to claim a little extra. Around here, we jokingly call Churu "cat crack," and Oatmeal definitely got the memo!

Oatmeal came from the heartbreaking rescue of 28 cats from a trailer in Butler, where she and the rest of the crew were all given breakfast-themed names. Thankfully, those difficult days are behind her, and she's ready for a home where she can finally relax and be spoiled.

She gets along wonderfully with other cats--she hasn't met a cat she didn't love. She especially enjoys hanging out with Toast Malone (we like to call him her boyfriend!), and they'd make an adorable pair if you're looking for two. That said, Oatmeal doesn't have to be adopted with another cat—she's social enough to make new friends wherever she goes. She'd likely enjoy a feline or canine playmate, but she'd also be perfectly happy as your one and only if she's getting plenty of love and attention.

If you're looking for a petite, playful, fluffy little girl with a dash of sass, a whole lot of charm, and enough personality to keep you smiling every day, Oatmeal is the perfect recipe!
